Hi guys,
I wonder if it is possible to have short urls.
But breadcrumps just remain intact. So that you can quickly switch back to the previous category.
Thanks

OC2031
I have an modification on my website, that shortens the url. It removes the categories in the url..
https://www.112ink.nl/inktpatronen-brot ... ktpatronen
becomes
https://www.112ink.nl/Canon-Pixma-TR4550-inktpatronen
and if i click one of the products i get
https://www.112ink.nl/PG545XL-huismerk-inktpatroon
The categories are gone. that is what i want.

But the breadcumpst what i used to have
inktpatronen > inktpatronen voor Canon printers > Canon Pixma TR printers > Canon Pixma TR4550
Th new breadcrumps are change to
Canon Pixma TR4550 >
I do like the short url. But is it possible to keep the long breadcrumps

This won't be possible. A given product can belong to multiple categories and/or sub-categories. In the end of the day, a better solution would be to use link canonicals without the category parts, and this is exactly what a standard OpenCart does.

It's semi possible, but as above, a product can belong to many categories so there is no way to be specific about it from clicking directly on a product. What you can do, is list the last cateogry it is in, which for some stores/product lines, works well enough, other maybe not.

Should be possible, because SEO URL is made by seo_url controller and breadcrumb by code from product/category controller.

The task seems a bit weird and actually isn't worth the effort. You can add a bunch of checks in the code and cut the URL depending on the case, but really not worth it AT ALL.
