When i ran the turbo.php on my opencart 2.2.0.0 store, the same thing happened: home was done
What i did to fix it was got to Design>Layouts and delete the home layout all together and then went to Modifications and clear and refreshed. I then created a new "Home" layout and added one module and set the position to "header" and saved it. When i checked on the front end, i noticed it placed the module in the footer. So I went back to edit the home layout again and indeed it had set itself to "footer" on its own so i reset it to "Header" and save it and that was it. I went back to the front and everything looked good and every module i added afterwards to the layout was correctly displayed and my homepage was restored
Update: I exported oc_layout, oc_layout_route, and oc_layout_module via the admin panel, then i went onto MySQL and truncated the 3 tables, switched them from InnoDB back to MyISAM, removed all indexes from the 3 tables, then i restored them from the exported .sql file and that fixed it
