Add Description to Credit Transaction Emails

When entering Credit Transactions, there is a field for Description. I would like to know how to add that Description field to the outgoing email generated for these entries. I found the customer.php file in /admin/model/customer, and lines 369 - 404 looks like where the transaction is processed and email generated, but I don't know how to insert the transaction description field contents into the email.
In the attached examples, I would like the Description, "We are issuing an account credit due to a recent shipping rate change. It will be applied to your next purchase." to display in the email.
