if often updated, a check why and what if made to many times, add a "timeout" periode to prevent such practice
yes, many times I keep seeing the same extensions every day. This has to stop. This is just a promotion method used by some developers to stay in the front.
Adding a limit weekly or monthly will make sense. The per-day limit will not make sense.

Reporting those "developers" and/or their extensions will lead to a ban of them (as last action if they don't stop that practise).
What could be done also, is to add a limit per week per developer/partner group.
Monthly is maybe to less, as could be seen different OpenCart version are sometimes published 2,3 times a month in the past (very rare 2 times a week).

Update date should show a last uploaded file date. Not a date when extension article was edited.

Because there are numerous situations when a developer needs to modify extension description/documentation/links/images/tags.
And you propose to report and ban for this.
Extension seller is not guilty that Marketplace is working the way it is.

Well, your points are all valid - unfortunetely!
If the system is designed that way, humans tend to "maximize" it - like politicians.

Just a sample from today from a template published on the Marketplace:
Compatibility
3.0.0.0, 3.0.1.1, 3.0.1.2, 3.0.2.0, 4.0.0.0_b, 3.0.3.0, 3.0.3.1, 3.0.3.2, 3.0.3.3, 3.0.3.5, 3.0.3.6, 3.0.3.7, 3.0.3.8
Last Update
8 Nov 2021
Created
16 Aug 2020
Whenever I see an extension compatible with 4.0.0.0_b - I know, that cannot be a developer.
And what was here the reason to update the template?
OpenCart v3.0.3.8 was published on August 27, 2021.
Either that "developer" has slept the last 2 months, was lazy, or what?
And if I look at the other extensions of this "developer", suprisingly all templates of him were "updated".

One reason more to rework the Mearketplace as soon as possible!

p.s.: for those who want to know what about I spoke: https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=40071
Made only 2 sales within 14 months - maybe no wonder, because most of the templates of him looking the same.
