open cart version 3.0.3.6 Even for billdesk payment, I am facing the same issue. After successful order placement, the cart is still showing the previously purchased item

Have you checked the forum for the numerous explanations and solutions that are usually applicable.
For example you have not mentioned if you reach the success page.
