Migrated entire site WWW.CEPERIANAS.COM to new HOST. On old host, had an HTML home page with OC3 as a menu item, which then took user to OC (in the directory NAMED "SHOPPING"). I deleted that landing home page as I want the URL to directly open OC. I used CPanel to install OC, an option offered by my new host. That seemed to work online in a browser.
I'm experiencing consistent issues when trying to install EXTENSIONS or MODULES, most importantly is "VQMOD" which I did not use previously. They simply to not show at all using a browser at www.ceperianas.com/admin , either in the navigation or on the pages. Many instructions say to place certain files in the ROOT but I'm not certain if it refers to the TOP level (/) which has several hosted domains/sites, or the root for this specific domain or the root for OC.
Took a screenshot of the portion of the server directory that I think covers the issue ( linked here). I'm not a complete newbie ... but damn close to one .... help? You can email to MMinieri AT ceperianas.com if you prefer for some reason.

VqMod needs to be placed in your shopping/ section.
But I would really no longer advise anyone, to still use VqMod
in OC v.3.x Versions, because OcMod already exists, and the
most modern way of doing such is by use of EVENTS. You only
keep you from possible Problems, not adding everything you
find on such 'Extensions'.
OR THEN, if you already have a bunch of VqMods installed, and
you don't like to (slightly) rewrite them to OcMod, you better use
famous JNeuhoff's Integrated VqMod, it will place VqMod'ed
Code into the Database Modification Section, like OcMod does, and
so no longer uses a VqMod/VqCache/... Section, to get the 'VqModified'
Content out of there.
It so keeps the System from 'surplus' Tasks as well, and if an error
occurred, it will be shown in the'regular' Admin / (OcMod) Modification
Section as well. It's the best possible Solution, to 'handle' VqMods and
OcMods in OC v.2.x - v.3.x Versions.
