Hello.
My Opencart version is 3.0.3.6, Journal 3 theme.
1. Recently I bumped into an issue. Whenever I set a Special price for a product, it overrides the Discount settings I previously made.
This topic perfectly describes my issue.
Keeping in mind that the topic is 7 years old and the code was written for Opencart v.1.5.6, would it work for my Opencart version?
I have searched the forums for similar issues but most of the fixes are 7-10 years old and therefore outdated. I have also tried to set the priority of the Discount to 1 and the priority of Special to 2.
I have also read that "OpenCart does not allow you to use discounts and specials together, but rather gives priority to the special price. If a product has both set up, then the system automatically uses the special. It makes sense, because specials are ideally supposed to run for a few days or weeks during holidays and special events, while discounts are more long-term."
2. Is there a way to apply Discounts for 2 different products? Let me explain:
I can apply discounts for a product, with a quantity of 2 or more, yes. But can I apply a discount for the Quantity, no matter what the products are?
For example:
Product1 has the price of 100$.
Product2 also has the price of 100$.
Is there a way to apply a discount if both of them are bought?
Product1 + Product2 = 180$ (instead of 200$).
Thank you so much!
I think this extension will help you with the first question

Unbelieve. Those two features can't even be put in the mix in POS. Specials will always be a priority.
Dedication and passion goes to those who are able to push and merge a project.
