Hi.
I'm hoping someone can offer me some sage advice as I've been going round in circles on this one for over a week now....
I'm using Opencart V3.0.3.2, with the Journal 3 theme installed and recently I added an SEO pack in order to clean up my URLs (www.kublox.co.uk)
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... ack&page=2
Overall I was super pleased with the extension and it worked really well. However I've just written my first blog using the Journal 3 Blog interface and have now discovered that it's not compatible with the "SEO Pack" extension.
https://www.kublox.co.uk/blog/journal3/ ... _post_id=3
The Journal 3 blog page has an option to configure the SEO URL, however with the SEO pack extension enabled it doesn't work. If I disable the "SEO Pack" the Blog URL works perfectly, however all my other site URLS go back to being their previously ugly selves?!!
I've contacted Journal who say that it's the fault of the Extension...
.. and I've been trying to contact the SEO pack developer but I'm struggling to get a response (... although will keep trying in parallel).
I was just hoping to get some fresh ideas in the mean time? Do I have any sensible alternatives to get around this?
Thanks In Advance
KT

Is there an error page/code or it just doesn't work? May be you can find out how the Journal 3 SEO works, and disable everything but the way it implements URL for the blog.smith_ka wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 6:09 pm

The only way I can get it to work (which is how I have it set now) is if I leave all the Journal Blog URL option blank and let it default to it's own URL of https://www.kublox.co.uk/blog/journal3/ ... _post_id=3rjcalifornia wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 1:44 amIs there an error page/code or it just doesn't work? or bizarrely... if I enter "blog/journal3/blog/post?journal_blog_post_id=3" into the Journal 3 Blog URL option it works fine but links me to the ridiculous URL of..... https://www.kublox.co.uk/blog/journal3/ ... _post_id=3...
.. and I've just tried entering "post?journal_blog_post_id=3" as the SEO keyword and it works but takes me to.... https://www.kublox.co.uk/blog/journal3/ ... _post_id=3
I just don't get it?..
If I use the SEO Keyword "Cavaletti_101" It takes me to the correct URL of https://www.kublox.co.uk/blog/journal3/ ... aletti_101 but shows a "the page you requested cannot be found" error.
Sadly I don't have the knowledge or skill to figure out how the Journal 3 SEO works within my timeframe. I know its optimistic but I was hoping for a relatively quick & easy fix?

Thanks for taking the time to reply though!!
I agree the developers are going to be my best bet for a quick-fix on this one!rjcalifornia wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 6:57 amI understand. I was referring to deactivate in the code the other SEO settings in Journal but the blog one.
Looks like you will have to wait for one of the developers to respond.
Fortunately they've been in touch overnight & hopefully will now help get it sorted. I suspect everyone's just massively back-logged after the COVID-19 impact and I'm just going to have to exercise some patience while people catch up. To be fair they've been great so far so fingers x'd they can get to the bottom of it. Will post a response if/when we get a solution.. I've seen similar unresolved threads so guess I'm not the only one out there struggling.
Many Thanks
KT
