I cannot find a way to manually dispatch an email with order details to the admin email listed.. The only way it seems to do so is if you change an order, it wants to send an email right away.. This isn't optimal.
Thanks in advance!

To manually dispatch an email with order details, based on specific order IDs or order statuses, simply create an event from the catalog-end side which reflects to the addOrderHistory/after. Take a look in your OC admin > extensions > events page as examples that have been already accomplished from the core out-of-the-box.AmishRenegade wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 12:15 amHi, I'm running Version 3.0.3.3 with Journal 3.

When the customer creates an order and processes payment, the site sends the order summary to the admin email. If I manually create an order on the back end, or need a replacement email, I'd like to be able to force the admin to resend the order summary to the admin email.
There are extensions on the Marketplace, however, that already delivers more detailed reports throughout email templates whenever an order gets, either, created or edited.AmishRenegade wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 12:35 amWhen the customer creates an order and processes payment, the site sends the order summary to the admin email. I think I've seen some of those.. but I'd like to be able to just click a button if possible, not edit the order to make it work.straightlight wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 12:37 amThere are extensions on the Marketplace, however, that already delivers more detailed reports throughout email templates whenever an order gets, either, created or edited.AmishRenegade wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 12:35 amWhen the customer creates an order and processes payment, the site sends the order summary to the admin email. Seems quite pointless, to be honest. Why do you need a summary of the order which you've just created yourself?AmishRenegade wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 12:35 amWhen the customer creates an order and processes payment, the site sends the order summary to the admin email. If no extensions suits your needs regarding your request, you could either create a new service request in the Commercial Support section of the forum, or contact an Opencart partner by using the Resources link at the top of the site, or contact me directly via PM to get this done as a custom job.AmishRenegade wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 12:40 amI think I've seen some of those.. but I'd like to be able to just click a button if possible, not edit the order to make it work.straightlight wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 12:37 amThere are extensions on the Marketplace, however, that already delivers more detailed reports throughout email templates whenever an order gets, either, created or edited.AmishRenegade wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 12:35 am

It may not be entirely pointless if events can already be used to simply expand the order information. While there are already extensions on the Marketplace providing these features, this OP user seem to be specifically looking to use a button instead of the history form regardless the order statuses option being selected.thekrotek wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 12:45 amSeems quite pointless, to be honest. Because we drop ship based on the email dispatched from OC. If we create an order on the back end and the email doesn't dispatch for whatever reason, it'd be nice to do it manually.thekrotek wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 12:45 amSeems quite pointless, to be honest.
