Hi folks,
maybe some-one can point me in the right direction or help me with this issue.
So, I have opencart 3.0.2 with journal3 and a LOT of extensions.
today I purchased and installed a mod to easaly select filters in categories and products. However, I had to remove the extension again because it gave me HTTP 500 errors.
So I'm in contact with the developer to solve this issue.
But the problem I have now is, when I enter a text in the category description, it now shows double in the storefront.
check this link to see what I mean: https://www.willebrick.store/Losse-onderdelen/Dakpan
I have refreched all cache several times, but without good result.
I have no idea how I can solve this, so I hope some-one can point me in the right direction.
Much appreciated!
have a wonderfull day.

Your are using an unsupported and non-standard theme framework, namely Journal3. You should get in touch with their customer support on this. It's not an OpenCart bug.
Export/Import Tool * SpamBot Buster * Unused Images Manager * Instant Option Price Calculator * Number Option * Google Tag Manager * Survey Plus * OpenTwig
Regarding the 500 error, while no details were posted about it, ensure to check your OCMod logs since you have also purchased a ... LOT of extensions aside from Journal and to get in contact with each developers of those extensions where errors were outputted to nail down the source of the issue. So, I have opencart 3.0.2 with journal3 and a LOT of extensions.

thank you for your reply, imho one should not "blame" an other extension without knowing the cause, it might very well be a problem of Journal, but it might also be a problem of opencart itself. That being said, i'm not here to do this discussion, only hoping if some-one is willing to help. I already found a couple of similar issues here on the forum, but none of them were exactly the same as my issue (and they all were not journal related btw).JNeuhoff wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 7:58 pmYour are using an unsupported and non-standard theme framework, namely Journal3. thanks for the input though, I will certainly contact journal if no-one here can help me out.
Kind regards
Gerry
the 500 error is not my problem but the developers problem of the extension I purchased, so he/she will deal with that.straightlight wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 8:42 pmRegarding the 500 error, while no details were posted about it, ensure to check your OCMod logs since you have also purchased a ... I will have a look at the ocmod logs though, I might learn something myself

thanks for the comment! have a great day!

It's definitely not an OpenCart bug. Category descriptions in a standard OpenCart 3.0.x are not duplicated.
To narrow it down, take a look at your database table oc_category_description (via PHPMyAdmin): Is the description text stored twice in the DB field? If not, it might be only a frontend presentation issue.
As Straightlight suggested, you'll have to get in touch with the various extension authors on this.

the developer of the extension that gave the 500 error is now looking into the problem, so I hope it gets fixed.
Thanks for all your input!

Didn't you ask for our advice precisely because we are good at knowing what bit of code to "blame"?willebrick wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 5:10 pmthank you for your reply, imho one should not "blame" an other extension without knowing the cause, it might very well be a problem of Journal, but it might also be a problem of opencart itself.
