I’m wondering if there are instructions anywhere to create a test environment that is a copy of my live environment? I backed up everything and did an upgrade from 3.0.3.2 to 3.0.3.6 and it worked for a while then it just stopped working. I’ve restored my site but now want to try and install again in a test environment.

Thanks

Why not just create another Installation and Database, to make tests, just
place it in another Subdirectory, they won't hurt or influence each other. ;)

Because a copy of my production will be an exact copy, and eliminate any nuances that could be missed. Just a lesson learned over the years.

You may need to create a branch repository/subdirectory and from there making changes. Once you've seen the changes are actually working, you can merge the branches and pull them on your live environment.
