OC. 3.0.3.6
Any image (or file in general) that is uploaded through OpenCart admin area seems to cache the file indefinitely.
As an example, if I delete an image file and upload a replacement (file name is exactly the same), only the original file displays on the live site.
Even if I clear my browser cache. Clearly I feel I'm doing something wrong or missing something as my product naming schema is getting messy when I need to replace a product photo. I'm having to change the name slightly and then my product names are not consistent.
ie. When in Catalog/Products and adding images to an product:
1). I delete the old image: ie. GH-100.png
2). If I name my replacement file the same as above, the original (old) image still displays on the live site.
I need to name the replacement file as GH-100-1.png, then GH-100-2.png (or something similar in order to display the image each time).
Hopefully that was clear.
Please let me know what the solution is. TIA!
You always have to clean out the (entire) Image CACHE Sections as well,
not only the original Image(s), then, it will work as planned.
