First post on the forum (from what I can remember) so hello! I've tried searching but really can't find anything related to my issue so apologies if it is something that's been answered.
I'm 50% of the way through setting up a website and I have an issue with pre-orders and the way they work. I've set it up so that an out of stock warning shows as 'pre-order' rather than 'out of stock'. I'd like for customers to still be able to go through checkout and pay for the item but just have a message showing it's only for pre-order and not available right away.
My issue is I've set the quantity to 0 but when I do this the product is no longer shown in the category page. If I click on the product page first, then go into the backend, change the quantity to 0 and then save/refresh the product page it does show Pre-order in the stock status so I know it works, it just seems to not show in any category page so customers can't see the items unless they've got a link to them.
Any fix for this? I'm currently running version 3.0.3.3 with the Journal 3 theme whether that helps.

suggest you check your journal settings as OC has no issues with your scenario.

Don't I feel stupid! Searched it in the Journal documentation and found it within 30 seconds! Solved.
Thank you for confirming it wasn't an Opencart concern though. I wouldn't have looked otherwise! Very much appreciated.
