I hope it will make it into the core.
It could be that it will be 2 separate reports:
1. amount of product sold per period per product and total amount (per currency).
2. total amount sold per period incl. VAT and excl VAT (per currency), total of shipping cost and average cart value + how many customers have bought in that period.

Looking promising!fido-x wrote:I've already started work on something like this. Still a lot of work to do, but here's some screenshots of what I've got working so far.

If it is something I could use then I will donate/purchase it as it is something needed for most OC users.
Thanks for the hard work!

Thanks for the comment. After building a statistics page for my own site (can be viewed here), I thought it might be nice to have something similar in the administration, since there is nothing like it in OpenCart.i2Paq wrote:Looking promising!![]()
This "tool" is intended to give an overview of your store operations, including charts and graphs and, when it's finished, it is intended that it will be printable to a PDF file.
I'd be interested in hearing what others think should be included.

Did you have a look at my wishes?
1. amount of product sold per period per product and total amount (per currency).
2. total amount sold per period incl. VAT and excl VAT (per currency), total of shipping cost and average cart value + how many customers have bought in that period.
I will PM you a link with the report, mentioned at 2, that I currently use in my osCommerce shop.

Thank you.i2Paq wrote:That is a nice tool you got there!
Yes, I saw those. Hadn't thought about "per currency", as the figures I've been working with for this idea came from a single store, single currency and (at the moment) a single category of products (all from the same manufacturer!). But, in the case of this particular store, their website is secondary to their "over-the-counter" sales.Did you have a look at my wishes?

I have 2 customers that have multiple currency's etc. and thus want these separate reports so they have a easy overview on there sales etc. per currency, product, manufacturer etc.fido-x wrote:Yes, I saw those. Anyway, last night I reported that I had total taxes and total shipping displaying. I've now got taxes by tax rate working. I've also made some minor changes in labelling of the tabs.

I like your customer demographic pie graph thing, that is pretty cool.
check out my post here: http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=110&t=17513
If you were able to take the features of what I described in that post, and add some cool graph stuff to it, that would be a very powerful tool, and everything you would need to track product & sales stats!
In a retail business the product and sales stats, and being able to view them by day, month, week, year, etc. Is the most important part of tracking your business progress.
(also for your averaging, I think a monthly & quarterly average would be very beneficial to show, most businesses work from monthly or quarterly sales statistics, rather than weekly, but I would still keep the weekly in there too)
Let me know what you think.
You've got some good ideas there. I like what you've done as well. I agree, a monthly and quarterly average would be good additions. I've still got some work to do on this (obviously), but at the moment, due to a couple of other projects and a couple of family matters and just having started a course in small business management, I'm a bit squeezed.12oclocker wrote:Hey Fido-x,

I hear you on that, I have zero free time as well, lol, I desperately needed those stat calc's, so I had to write that mod the other night, as soon as I get some time I want to add some graphs for monthly, quarterly, yearly averages & stats, etc.fido-x wrote: You've got some good ideas there.
