Category nav bar is not showing

Hi! I'm new to opencart, I used Zencart years ago and I'm trying a new store at https://www.twitterati.cards/cart.

I installed the software, deleted the sample categories and products and added a couple of my own - but I'm not seeing the category nav bar in my storefront? Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

By default there isn't a category left-nav on the home page but it can be added:
