Nothing to assist here, live price is not a default OC feature.

Every Journal 3 copy is a bootleg. I can't even imagine anybody buying this piece of crapware :-)

I agree, but after developing our own theme we do at least understand why they attempted it. Although they have obviously never heard of the KISS design principle.

Yeah, it's illegal to buy Journal 3. Should be a law on this :-)

Actually, they simply overcomplicated the theme, that's all. Instead of making it a better theme they pile up a bunch of options, modules and other crap turning it into a monster. Happens to many popular products or companies - sometimes they simply don't know, when to stop.

Indeed like this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_bloat#Bloatware

But we did find it was pretty difficult to develop a clean theme that has nicely designed features like changeable banners etc.

We managed it, but of course ours has no where near the features that Journal has.

Well, Journal looks good, no question about it. But it also belongs to the most stolen
OC Extensions ever created, still Journal generated a lot of cash for those, creating it.
But it should also just be accepted, that OpenCart is a heaven for Crooks, since OC exists,
and there is nothing one can do about it. The good thing is, that most won't survive, trying
to make OC work, and/or make a business out of it, or the World would be full of Onlineshops.
