This is just an explanation what reCAPTCHA is itself and what it is for.
Yes, reCAPTCHA is a free Google online service and API. You can use it for free. No matter how many sites or requests you have.

But this OpenCart extension is a paid software, also it provides much more functionality than standard OpenCart reCAPTCHAv2.
This extension is a connector between your store and Google reCAPTCHAv3 service. I don't sell free Google services
