2.0.3.2 is what I am working with. I am wanting to have items for sale that would be a pre-order with 12 being the minimum to be produced. Let me break this down a little simpler.
If I sell T-shirts and a customer wants 1 shirt of a certain design, they could purchase that shirt and it would go into a holding cue until 12 units were purchased by other people. Then the order would go through for all 12 shirts and I would get the order.
Basically, 11 people could order the shirt and then when the 12th person ordered that shirt it would complete the sale for all 12 and the orders would be generated.
Does this make sense?
Yes, it does, but you can not achieve this with ANY e-commerce framework. What you CAN do is create a modification, which will update order statuses for all orders, which contain a particular product, when total purchase amount of this product will reach given quantity (12).
