Display modules in mobile theme

Hello,
I am using the default opencart theme for 2.1.0.1.
If in layout settings ,a module is set to be displayed as "content left" or "content right" in that case the module isnt visible on the mobile site however it looks good on desktop version.
If however, the module is set to be displayed as "content top" or "content bottom" in that case it looks proper in the mobile site (and not so good in the desktop version)

I am trying to do that with the filter module.It looks good with "content left" on desktop version but isnt visible on mobile in that case.
What can be done so that this module is visible on left on desktop site and also could be somehow made visible on mobile site as well!

If you have Default theme you can edit column_left.tpl from catalog/view/theme/default/template/common and change this:

<column id="column-left" class="col-sm-3 hidden-xs">
to this
