Just installed and ran the import/export module and it worked for a test with only 2 products. My compliments, very clean spreadsheet layout - easy to understand. A suggestion though. It seems that on import the entire database is re-written, so for even a simple modification to 1 product you have to import EVERYTHING. I'm not sure how difficult it would be from a coding point of view but an overwrite/append option could really lighten up the process. It would also make it possible to load a large catalog in steps, thereby avoiding the memory issues. Just a thought...

I agree that it would make it easier and it would also help prevent inventory discrepancies. If I export the db and add more to it, then import it, there may have been a sale during the time I was adding. This had worried me, so I exported my file, deleted all entries to create a "clean slate" and saved it. When I want to add products, I open my clean slate, add the products and get everything straight, then export the main, copy and paste my new and import it all back.

It would be much easier if the module could append, but then, what if you wanted to remove a bunch? One item at a time removing through the admin panel would be frustrating.
