I had purchase a theme from themeforest & tried to upload the files on server but the new theme didn't show up on my Opencart store version 2.2. Please guide me through the steps to update the theme!

You have to ask the people of Themeforest or buy their installer package/service.
But basically to install a theme of them is very easy: simply upload the files into your shop installation, select the correct theme and define your settings inside the theme module.
