Ernie, You always see past the first view and understand what is going on and I really appreciate your replies, but after the last problem I'm trying to read all comments and do more investigation before trying a module even a free one. they cannot be held accountable, if some OC Installer foolishly try to
upgrade something, widely known for Years, to NOT be upgradable
So much to this, sorry about the hash words, but it's the only way,
to hopefully at least get some down to real earth again.

The good thing is this is not my live store, but one day soon it needs to be and I really need a way to kit up components and subtract the individual components from inventory when the kit is sold.

OpenCart 2.1.0.2 Upgrading to 3.0.2.0
Well, just be aware of the fact, that the Version you plan some day to use,
still had some flaws. Some Fellow created an updated v.3.0.2.x Version,
and published it here somewhere. But in a foreseeable future, OC v.3.x
will also belong to history as well. And OC 3 is clearly still a DEV Project,
or it would not carry Github Tags like - 160 Issues + 209 Pull requests -

Personally, I would rather select a version, where a good amount of
Mods exist, and a relatively broad knowledge, to keep as independent
as possible. It's possibly typically Swiss, not to depend on Strangers,
but I also know, that many don't care any longer about older Versions,
as soon as a new one hit's the Scene. It's fully understandable too,
since many depend on selling latest knowledge, to pay their bills.
But it's also a fact, that OC v.2.3.0.2.x is still under development.
The Dev is a 'known' Figure in the Eastern Europe OC Fan Scene
for some time already. He seems to well know, what he's doing,
unfortunately, he does not seem to be active multilingual (en).
Important: His Software is the 'most near' default-like OC Software
Code I found. He just added a range of Files and Code, usually beeing
Part of 'eastern' OC Editions, and he left all int'l. Payments in the Code.
The only REAL Job will be, to find out, by comparing content, what DB
Tables + Sections have been added/modified/e.t.c., to then implement
such Changes into a default OC v.2.3.0.2 Install Database. This, to 'load'
and 'handle' all the additional 2.3.0.2.5 Extensions and their functions.
This, because he does not care about 'Strangers', by placing a range of
russian Language into the Database, usually only existing in Language-
related Content, but better not 'hardcoded' in Code ...
It's Version 2.3.0.2.5 at present, as it looks, and he even offers real
Upgrades, another unique 'OC Service', to keep most from screwing up ...
I guess, it would be worth a (free
)try, to really get a 'latest Version OC-2',
already known, to be the best of that Version Series, as it came. And if the
Fellow one day moves up to something 'later', then, just go ahead too, and
take your Chance !
But so far, he still seem to have a reason, to keep on. 
Just figured, it's all about OC, after all ...

we clear say that if share access or screen share , we will issue refund , if module not work as present in description we will issue refund
we are selling module more then 7 year now , Maximum case we found customer not install module correct step and module not work ,
When they make ticket and share require access then issue fix within few hour and they all are happy at end
any module will not possible to make all version Opencart or all custom theme , that why all module owner offer support , you can take refund , if developer not reply with 1-2 days , its Opencart policy its self
if module have any issue we are keep updating that fixing and modify as per customer need
