Affirm Payment Extension for 1.5.6

I have a client who wants to add Affirm to their website as a payment option. Their site runs on 1.5.6 and I do not see any extensions available. I would like to have an extension built that would allow the customer to checkout with Affirm. Their API info is https://docs.affirm.com/Integrate_Affirm/Direct_API

My email is chris@pensacolawebdesigns.com if you would be interested in taking this on. We will be migrating to 3.* one day so it would be nice to have the extension available for 3.* as well but not needed now.

This is a very popular system that lots of ecom sites are offering now so this would be a good selling extension I believe.
