never heard of them. I find AlertPay to be a popular alt to paypal because it looks and acts exactly like paypal. Even their user interface is exactly like paypal and their IPN system is the same as well. There are thousands of payment gateways out there. No one can say which is best.

Its not just about the fees though. Its also about who pays you on time or within a reasonable settlement period, who adds arbitary fees and fines for various things (hidden costs), who locks your account for so called 'fraudulant' activity without proper recourse to you as the merchant, and so on and so on... Selecting a payment gateway is often like choosing numbers for a lottery, finding a win-win solution may take many years if ever to achieve. Best to select a robust system with a transparent merchant management policy (paypal is so not this) and then accommodate the fees through a reasonable margin hike on your goods and services. To me a fair evaluation of payment gateways should include how they act when things go wrong...
