I had two web sites running OC, one running ver 3.0 and the other running ver 2.3, both hosted on GoDaddy and no authorized access anyone else. Sometime on Friday 2/8, both web sites had OC updated to version 3.0.3.1. GoDaddy says they had nothing to do with it. Has anyone else had or heard of this happening?

If you installed OpenCart using some installation service like Soflaculous, then no wonder you had both sites updated automatically.

Professional OpenCart extensions, support and custom work.

Did not use that service, manually installed both versions.

Switch webhost. GoDaddy is one of the worst out there. If you are serious about ecommerce, go with a professional webhost.

Export/Import Tool * SpamBot Buster * Unused Images Manager * Instant Option Price Calculator * Number Option * Google Tag Manager * Survey Plus * OpenTwig

I have been a fan of GoDaddy for a long time, but more and more I think you're right! This latest episode of problems was due to them updating their cPanel and my OC software being automatically updated without my knowledge. One site went from version 2.3.0.2 to 3.0.3.1 which left the site down and with many errors. The other site was at version 3.0.2 and the update caused all mods and extensions to disable. Can you recommend a host and do they have reliable customer support? I am on my own and am in no way capable of fixing most problems, so when things go wrong its so reassuring to have someone to contact for help.
