How can i add a new custom landing page ? It will not show any products or anything. It will be different from index.php. So how can i set that custom page as default page ? Thanks in advance.

The homepage is actually a fixed page. you can not substitute it with another "page". But you can edit with modules.
You can also create a landing page from it. You can use an extension like Visual Designer PRO to modify your homepage.
