Also, since the Welcome script is mentioned, this would be about an extension. See from the admin - > extensions - > modules page if you can either disable or uninstall this welcome script.

The easiest way to hide elements from layout is to use CSS. Find a selector and simply add "display:none" definition to your custom CSS>

I have a problem that started about two weeks ago - I have customers creating a new account often on the website. Problem is now I have what I believe some random computer creating accounts - I delete them and they keep creating accounts - i do not want regular customers to stop creating accounts but need to figure out to stop the computer from continuing to create. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I'm sorry, but have you even tried to read, what this topic is actually about? It has nothing to do with your issue, so create a new topic instead and in the future ALWAYS pay attention on the subject of the topic.CSS wrote: ↑Fri Mar 30, 2018 8:32 pmI have a problem that started about two weeks ago - I have customers creating a new account often on the website. well, you could at least keep them from 'acting', by disabling them from doingi do not want regular customers to stop creating accounts
anything on your Site, until you activated their accounts. But open Door means
an open door, and OC is not yet that sophisticated, to recognize the bad guys
automatically ...

But another good way, to keep at least some of them off, would be, to have 'em to
activate their Accounts in the first place, by receiving an Email with the activation link.
So, if they use a fake eMail, they will never be able to get in...
