Hi, pretty sure this will be obvious, but I just can't see it... I need to be able to do up to 1kg = $10, 1 - 2kg = 12.50, and a few more until 10kg+ = $25.

Is this in zone shipping? that comes with the default install of opencart?  or is it the weight based shipping contribution?

Also is it possible to add the above mentioned weights with different prices for 3 different categories, say Standard shipping Express post, and registered insured post?

Most of what you require is available in the Zone shipping module.

However, in order to have it available 3 times for

Standard
Express
Registered Insured

you'd have to replicate the shipping the zone shipping module twice (we are talking about 5 files each time) and then do some programming replacing the file names and some variables with new names so as to avoid name clashes.

Thanks, can you let me know where exactly I specify the different weights and prices, if we just work with standard for now, and i'll replicate at a later date?

If there are no products in your cart that "require shipping" then that section is skipped. Check your product data in the store admin. There is an option "requires shipping"

Do you see any shipping modules at all in the list /admin/index.php?controller=extension&type=shipping ?

I played around and fixed the problems... The shipping not showing up was a configuration error. The geo zone needs to be set for the zone. Instead of clicking on the wrench, click the folder to the left of the zone. In here you can set the country the shipping applies to.
