A real Feature Request that I should have included in my initial post in this thread -
A SAVE button at the bottom of the Product pages so you do not have to scroll to the top each time you make a change.
Natural tendency is to work down a page, not up.

Checkout button in the in the basket and delete button in the basket would be nice i know their is a module for that but it would be good if will be implement in OC system + ebay feedback style

Yes please, a 'view cart' and/or 'checkout' button in the side basket - or just links - would be perfect! It's a key usability issue, I think.Qphoria wrote:I've added an ajax remove button to the sidebox as well as all totals. I had thought about a view cart option as well
I rejected Opencart the first time round just because I couldn't 'view basket' quickly - took me a couple of seconds to see the tab, and it might be the same for a customer. I tend to focus on customer experience.
In any case, I really like this informative side basket, Q.
not sidebox/module! ... in checkout/cart!Qphoria wrote:Actually eyeglasses would be your first step. As 2 posts above I show the new cart with ajax delete buttonsd0tb0t wrote:Add "Delete" button for each item in shopping cart (checkout/cart)
It would be nice to do it with AJAX.
List View with and without pictures would be great
something like this http://www.dustinhome.no/ProductList.as ... group=1185" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (chose privat to get to right page)
if you have many products, this will look better than having it in grid view

I like the second one.Qphoria wrote:image 1. The buttons seem to be a bit too bulky/ugly IMO.
Image 2. How about just 2 simple links:
If possible it is also nice to have the feature wherein the customer will be re-directed back to the previous product he was browsing after login or signup/registration.
Thanks everyone.
on the main page for product thumbs under cost id like to add in RRP then under that how much the customer saves, i know this can be done by special price but for uploading it to google it takes the higher price and puts that into google shopping prices
examp
Our Price £20.00
RRP £30.00
Your Save £10.00

A couple of things that I didn't see on the roadmap yet (sorry if I overlooked them):
1. The ability to "reprint" an order so that it looks just like the email that is sent to the customer when they purchase the product. I don't need to do an "invoice" (and would have to edit that template a lot anyway to make it look like I want), but the ability to create a new copy of that order on the fly would be useful.
2. Having the "shipping address" be the same as the billing address, even if products do not require shipping. Save one, all of our products are downloadable, and the order looks odd to me to have a blank column for the shipping address. I guess I could modify the email template to put the billing address in the left hand column, and put the shipping address in the right, but having the same address be there regardless of whether or not a product really "ships" would be more asthetically pleasing.
3. Case-sensitivity in the filters makes finding information difficult. My customers often use all lowercase, all uppercase, initial cap, and I have a MacBeth and Macbeth, etc. Finding these can take multiple tries. I realize this might be a mysql issue, but I think there is a way to make searches work okay if you put all info in lowercase, so "anita" would find anita, Anita, Danita, Juanita, etc. I would be happy with that! I.e., if you put in uppercase, it might fail, but if your searches are all lower case it would bring results regardless of the case of the actual record.
Thanks.

Well if there is no shipping, you will get other people complaining that there shouldn't be an address.2. There is no case sensitivity that I know of.3. Case-sensitivity in the filters makes finding information difficult. Apple, apple, ApPlE, aPPLe should all be the same and is for my searches.
That is very weird - I'm uploading a couple of screenshots from my system, one with all lowercase zanre that has no hits, one with Zanre that has 4 hits, and one with Zanr which also finds Zanrè. Now remember that I imported about 10000 customer records, so I'm wondering if it's related to importing? Of course, the bottom image is a different issue. If I leave off the "e" on Zanre I get Zanrè as well. Some search engines can handle that, others cannot, so I'm accustomed to having to take off the e in order to get all hits for my name.Qphoria wrote: There is no case sensitivity that I know of.

Also, this is running on Linux (SLES 10 32 bit).
Thanks.
