I know the title is confusing lol
My domain is adragifts.com
Ok.. I had an v2 opencart site on ardragifts.com that WAS working until the hosting service did that mysql change.
I did a patch and got it working again...kinda lol
BUT now I want to update the v2 opencart to v3.. but as you ALL know .. it can be frustrating when we have customizations and changes
from the original v2. I have vqmod,an excel export extension, a customizable shipping ext, a search function extension, and a journal theme with ALOT of customized work.
Sooooo.. what I want to do is put a clean new v3 opencart on my ardragifts.com domain so my customers can shop and buy. I ASSUME my backup database I can import into v3? PLEASE tell me we can do that!!! lol
BUT I want to work on v2 to get it updated, as it has so much work done on it... and once I have it upgraded to v3, I was hoping I could have the v2 on a subdomain or another domain, get it upgraded to v3, then move it to ardragifts.com.
BUT I was told trying to work with opencart v2 on a different domain causes alot of issues, and wont transfer to ardragifts.com and work??
Please, any suggestions to have have a WORKING clean v3 site so I can get my sales, and work on upgrading my v2 in the background and get it upgraded to v3?
