What specific files do I need to copy into mytheme so I can create a custom theme or template for my store. New beginner developer learning to make themes for opencart. I'm using the latest version of opencart.
Well, the Instructions are not outdated, they just don't match the latest OC releases,
but you hopefully won't expect, that everything around a new Version will be ready,
as soon as a new Version is released.
OC itself will not do such anyway, they only concentrate on their own work, and others
don't have to, just to please others, and possibly even for free. But someone, familiar
with latest ways of coding, won't have much problems in the first place.
But if you really plan, to create your own Theme, at best, take a DEFAULT Theme, and
start from there, because then, you have everything, you'll ever need, installed and working
already, in a usable form.
But don't take it personal, it's just the way it works. And everybody is free, to share his/her
wisdom, but it's not a obligation, for nobody, since OC comes for free.
