Upgrading from 1.5.6 to 3.0.0 but it throws up this php error. What do I need to change? I imported an existing database from a previous shop that was created in 1.5.6.

Code: Select all

Deprecated: mysql_connect(): The mysql extension is deprecated and will be removed in the future: use mysqli or PDO instead in /var/www/vhosts/newsupremedeer.co.nz/httpdocs/opencart/system/database/mysql.php on line 6

Notice: Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near 'AFTER `price`' at line 1
Error No: 1064
ALTER TABLE `oc_profile` CHANGE `frequency` `frequency` ENUM AFTER `price` in /var/www/vhosts/newsupremedeer.co.nz/httpdocs/opencart/system/database/mysql.php on line 50
thanks

Did you uploaded the new files with the latest release along with your database and configured your config.php and admin/config.php files?

Thanks for the reply.
So I overwrite the previous config files?
When you say 'configure the files' what does this mean? Sorry I am not a php programmer - just a front end developer.

There is nowhere to be said about overwriting the config files. It was rather indicated to properly configure both config.php files. The defined paths and constant names must correspond with the latest release version. By knowing what those constants are, the ZIP file must be extracted into a new folder on your server.

If you are not sure how to do it, it would be best to hire a professional to complete the task as a custom job.

In addition, you can also follow this topic. If one can understand how to do it, many can: viewtopic.php?f=199&t=199983
