Hello, I am using version 2 and I was told by my hosting service to upgrade my scripts to get my site working.
They upgraded their mysql and my site and admin stopped working.

I have no clue what they mean but I am hoping that if I upgrade to version 3, that is what they mean?
Before I begin install, can anyone confirm or explain what my hosting service means? Will
upgrading OC fix my problem?
Thanks so much
Nancy

Upgrading Opencart to the latest version would be ideal in this case due to the PHP 7 compatibility compliance being used with more recent versions of mySQL. This is what your provider suggested to do as they would be correct. Take note, however, that it is definitely best to upgrade to the latest version of PHP since your MySQL libraries were recently upgraded to a much higher level.

If you do not know how to upgrade your PHP and mySQL to the most possible recent versions, contact your host support. They'll do it for you.
