i have a product discount set up and a new Customer group.....so when someone logs in who is in that group the get a lower price....right now the new lower price shows on the product itself. Is there a way to make the discount now show until it is added to the cart?

I can't even imagine the logic behind this. Why, WHY they forbid you to show discount on product page and allow on cart page???? This looks like a very good reason to seek for professional help.

A MAP price is a minimum amount that resellers agree not to advertise below. For example, if a backpack company sets a MAP price of $50 for its best selling item than all resellers including brick and mortar stores and Amazon resellers are obligated to advertise this product at $50 or more
The only way is to use some kind of custom order total, which will add a discount in Totals section depending on particular product. Never heard of any.
