Hi,

I am quite new to this, and have downloaded the imporved paypal scripting.

I cant seem to run it though?

I have copied it into the root as suggested, but when I go to payment, on the admin side, I cannot see any script to add, or install.

Can someone provide me an idiot guide, for an idiot :)

Thanks

It simply replaces the code of the paypal module that was already there.

Note that there have been lots of discussion and a few patches for the code you downloaded. A complete copy of the modified file is here. That location is also the discussion thread for this contribution.

Please ensure that you have followed all of the installation instructions, otherwise it simply does not work.

cheers

bruce,

Thanks for your reply.

I have now overwritten the existing one in that directory. That doesnt seem to be the problem though.

My problem is, when i choose extensions and payment, the paypal module doesnt show up? I asume this should be here so I can configure it?

Insert a new payment extension then with the following data. Name and description are for information only so put what you like there.

Data Tab:
* Code: paypal
* Directory: payment
* Filename: paypal.php
* Controller: payment_paypal

Thanks for that Bruce, really helpful - and thats working now.

Last question (i hope)  :)

Do i need to edit the paypal.php file in order to make this work? I am getting a

Fatal error:Call to undefined method Response::get() in /home/skeme/public_html/ian/catalog/extension/payment/paypal.php on line 31

Any ideas?

try a different browser to get a new session.

There is no reason for that error.

Try putting a die('hello'); statement in the code on the line before the one listed as giving the error.

I assume you mean simple type die('hello'); on line 30?

I have done that.

The same error occurs....but its not on line 32 (ie the line has been pushed down)

Sorry for all these questions, and if i dont pick up on all these suggestions - i know the very very very basics of code, and am trying to understand as I like the look of your cart much more than zen cart. :)
