Upgrading Opencart 3.0.0.0 to 3.0.2.0

I just tried to apply this update
Uploaded the upload folder to overwrite all the files (made sure the config files didn;t upload)

Then I ran the intsall folder as expected, and when I clicked upgrade it came up with server error 500, and nothing was accessible

I re-uploaded the old folder data again and everything was fine

What did I do wrong? there's no upgrade instructions for version 3... only from version 1.5.4 upgrading to 2 (yes the documentation inside the OC3 install folders is all labelled for OC2)

Only thing I;ve also noticed is that version 3.0.0.0 was in a folder with "compiled" and 3.0.2.0 was labelled just "opencart"
So was it the wrong version? is there no compiled version anymore? has the installation massively changed between 2.3 and 3 and 3.0.2.0?

if i remember the version 3.0.0.0 was with a lot for problems. And was not recommend to use it. Almost for the first 2 weeks until some bugs was fixed. Iike 1 month before, there is an Stable and full working version 3.0.2.0.
