Adding homepage landing image / ad

I am starting to like how easy opencart is to use. Nice work Dan! I was wondering if it is possible to add a image in the welcome Guest! text area,(Like an Sale Ad / For Sale / Whats Hot!) Maybe just replace it all possibly.  Then the Latest products would be pushed below this ad image... Does this make sense?
