Version: 2.2.0
Problem: Cannot upload files using Extension Installer (Import/Export to Excel, free module). I can see that it's an FTP problem - lines 328 and 333 of installer.php - but I have no clue how to fix it or get around it. I don't know how to code.
I have tried every possible combination of variables in the System ftp page. I KNOW that I have the right setup because if I use the same variables like my id, pw, port etc in Filezilla, I get it without any problem.

The error message: reads something like this:
ftp_nlist(): bind() failed: Permission denied (13) in ....public_html/store/vqmod/vqcache/vq2-admin_controller_extension_installer.php on line 328 etc, invalid argument supplied foreach() in ....public_html/store/vqmod/vqcache/vq2-admin_controller_extension_installer.php on line 33

Thanks in advance

try to:
1. unzip your Extension locally, if not done already,
2. rename the install.xml file to import_export_ocmod.xml
3. upload the Extension admin Directory and it's content by FTP into the SHOP/... Directory.
---
EITHER:
4. install the import_export_ocmod.xml by use of the OC Admin OcMod Installer.
5. activate the Module in the admin-user_group-topadmin Section.
OR:
4. activate the Module in the admin-user_group-topadmin Section.
5. install the import_export_ocmod.xml by use of the OC Admin OcMod Installer.
wichever will function, I never tested it, and I just mention it, to make sure...!
---
6. go to the Modules, and activate the Extension, to make it work.
7. CLEAN OUT ALL CACHE, in OcMod as well as in VqMod, before you test it.
8. Come back and report! :D
Good Luck !

Ernie - thanks very much for responding! Unfortunately I didn't get very far. I unzipped the files and put them in a folder. I renamed the install file to import_export_ocmod.xml. I also moved the admin folders and files to the "store" where my OC is. If I go into Extensions, Extension Installer and try to upload the import_export_ocmod.xml file I get a message saying invalid file type. Did I misunderstand something?

add to the OcMod Installer xml file header this:
<code>export_import_ocmod</code>
if no such code header entry exists, but make sure,
to completely clean out your OcMod Cache
and VqCache, before re-installing it again.
