Bundled Products - Free Postage

Is there a way to bundle products together and then offer free postage ?

I want to offer 3 of a particular item and then free postage but any less and its applied.

If you need free shipping based on item, Category & Product-Based Shipping can do that. You can set it so free shipping will only show up when 3 of a certain item are in the cart, and then it won't appear if there are only 1 or 2 of that product. You can also set it so it doesn't show up (or does show up) if other products are in the cart.
