Always show subcategories in sidebar

Hi can anyone explain me how to make all categories to be displayed in category module. v. 2.0.2.0

All the categories are allready displayed in the sidebar category module as long as they have the status active.

the default template top menu show three levels of categories always
the categories module show the first level as long as you view non category page , and show subcategories if you view a category page or product page which points to the category id,
if you need to show all categories and subcategories on every page in your website you need a different module
and sure in this case , you have o make sure that you need only a few levels of categories and subcategories

I would like that my side bar would show two levels down, ex. Top Category->Sub Category.

I don't want it to go all the way. IS there a way of messing with php or the template files to achieve that?

I need this too. I want all subcategories to be show all the time by default without having to click on parent categories.
