Child theme is not loaded after creating in v2.3.0.2

My Opencart webshop has **v2.3.0.2**. After creating in a new folder **template_child**, in **catalog/view/theme/default/** and creating in folder template_child/ the file stylesheet.css nothing of the css is loaded.

For testing I use this css for the top navigation:

#top {
background-color: blue;
}

Anyone of you an idea why opencart does not load this child theme css?

If you want to add a new theme then This may be of help
As your not actually creating a new theme the way you are doing it at the moment

Oeps.. misunderstand my thread. I only want to save and use a child theme css so the original stylesheet.css will not be overwritten. Nothing more or less. So no other themes.

So you still want the default css to work, you just want to add to it or change / override some of it styles?

If so, simply create your css file in the same directory as the default stylesheet.css

Then edit the header.tpl file and add a link to your stylesheet just after the default one.

The website is a fake, you should ignore it. It's the wrong way for the creation of a new web theme. There is no concept of child themes in OpenCart, nor is there any need for one.
