UPDATE:
Why i recieve "permission denied" error while i try to install an extension on localhost(xampp)?
Please help me.

Old problem(solved.)
I'm using OC 2.3.0.2 on localhost(xampp).
I can't install a module. Now, i'm trying to install Ajax Quick Checkout(paid version)
When i try to install it via OC extension manager it gives that error:

"The file size is too big, check upload_max_filesize value in php.ini."
But this value shows 999m in php.ini already. I set an user and password in xampp filezilla and activated ftp in Opencart.

What's the problem? Please help me.

It does not mean that upload_max_filesize is set to 999M. Some server does not allow to change php parameter through php.ini. Add following line in admin/index.php and it will print server information. Please check upload_max_filesize there.

Code: Select all

phpinfo();

XForm - Opencart Form Builder
Xshippingpro - An advanced Shipping Module

I am using godaddy cPanel. Here is where I changed php.ini value:

php.ini can be found in your root folder: for example mine is public_html.

My max_filesize is et to 999M

Sorry for the double post but now i have this error:

PHP Warning: ftp_mkdir(): Can't create directory. Permission denied in C:\xampp\htdocs\miyav\admin\controller\extension\installer.php on line 337

PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in C:\xampp\htdocs\miyav\admin\controller\extension\installer.php on line 332

I still can't install the extension.

I install a fresh OC 2.3.0.2 and then Turkish language pack and then journal and vqmod.

^^After those i tried to install Ajax Quick Checkout and now these "permission" errors came up :(

I am also using Ajax Quick Checkout by Dreamvention. They have great support. Contact them, they will install it for you for free.

They just said "it's a server problem" :)

I know the problem isn't on their side. I'm just blind. I already installed OC on localhost several times on 3-4 different PC. But looks like i forgot an important/simple part about that FTP thing.

The website works ok on my home PC and live version, but it has this problem on my work PC.

I still can't install an extension via extension manager.

It says "Can't create directory, permission denied."

I gave all the permissions for xampp folder on Win 8.1.

How can i install an extension on localhost with Xampp? What am i missing?

Try uploading the attached via the extension installer

Then refresh modifications

Then try installing your extension again
