Custom code (PHP) on order success, where to I add the code?

Hello all,

I need to run some PHP when an order is successfully completed (I need the the order ID to do what I need, add some entries to a different database).

I'm struggling to find where I actually add the code though. I'm sure the answer is somewhere in an old thread in the forum, but I cannot find it (or I'm searching for the wrong thing).

Can anyone help?

If you want to edit the file manually, the one that controls the checkout success page is this one:

/catalog/controller/checkout/success.php

Thanks for the replies, I think the success.php is what I'm looking for.
