Fatal Error & DIR_MODIFICATION errors when installing OC 2.2

Edit 11/8/16: I solved this myself by finding the install patch. My apologies. I can't find how to delete it though.

Hello - I got this error when I upgrading from 1.5 to 2.2.

Does anyone know what I did wrong? I did contro F5 anyway but that did not clear it up. I was able to wash it out and put 1.5 back up but I would really like to do this upgrade, it seems like I should be able to do it myself.
