Hi,
I woke up this morning to find that my 1.564 site is no longer working and suspect my host has updated something in the background but can't get through to them. Contemplating moving to 2.3 to see if this solves the issue.
Reading this it seems simple like previous upgrades but I am not sure it is right:
http://docs.opencart.com/upgrading/
It says just download and replace the files but I thought 2.0 was a whole new package and didn't share core files.
There doesn't seem to be a definitive guide to moving from 1.5X to 2.0.

just better don't believe a single word, as it is written in that long overdue OC Information,
and find out first, if possibly a simple PHP Server update requires you, to switch your BOTH
config.php lines from
// DB
define('DB_DRIVER', 'mysql');
to:
// DB
define('DB_DRIVER', 'mysqli');
or you eventually end up in deep frustration only, like so many before...

There is no guide but it does require ONLY the files from the 2.3.0.2 download (not a mix of that and your current version) and the upgrade script that comes with it does work. I honestly can't remember if you have to manually update the config files or if the upgrade script takes care of that part. Hopefully someone like Qphoria will chime in and clarify that part of it.fickena wrote:Hi,

You can find some advice from OpenCart 2.x support in this forum. Many users upgrade from 1.5 to 2, 1.6 to 2. And they have many useful practical experiences.
Where do you keep getting v1.6 from? This version never exsited.Hannah00 wrote:You can find some advice from OpenCart 2.x support in this forum. Many users upgrade from 1.5 to 2, 1.6 to 2. And they have many useful practical experiences.
