Sub Category can't be shown automatically

Dear All,

I'm using the latest version 2.3.0.2

I'm so frustrated, the sub category can't be shown automatically, and I don't how to make it shown on the category bar. there are a lot sub-category, but only one is show up.... I tried space, *, &, >, none of them works.

Please help. Thank you a lot.

When you want to select an subcategory, do not start typing category name followed by >
Just type subcategory-name.

'Cha' will result in Living room > Chairs and all other (sub)categories starting with 'Cha'.
