Is there a way to see our customers passwords?

I need to redo some things and may need to re-enter some customers data but I would like them to be able to keep their same passwords. Is it possible?

I really don't want to contact 100's of customers and tell them I had to reset their passwords..

Please advise...

No, not easy.

Why not send an e-mail from your shop where you explain that they need to request a new password because you have updated you store?
Also explain how to change their password after they have logged on with their temp-password.

you only have the md5 hashed passwords from the customer table in the db. As long as you don't change them you should be ok
