Additional Related Products module

I know there's a few that pop up in the search, but I haven't found a solution that does what I need..
I need an exact copy of the standard related products module that allows me to dictate which items show up in the box, and when there are none, the additional module is hidden. I currently use the related products, but also want an "Also available in these colors" box. Most of the ones I've seen, pull automatically OR recommend products based on what other shoppers buy with the inital product(s)

Any help would be appreciated.

A VQMod would be ideal...

By copying an existing module into a new module name, you simply need to relate it to the product layout from your admin - > extensions - > modules page. Followed is the documentation on how to proceed with the layout and the route: http://docs.opencart.com/extension/module/edit/
