Hello, I'm on Opencart 2.0.1.0 and I noticed something which, to me at least, is strange.

I set a coupon on a particular item which can be used an unlimited amount of times globally, but only 2 times for a single customer.

I thought that, if a customer would order 2 or more exemplars of that particular item, he would get the discount on the first 2. Instead, the discount only ever applies to the first item. To make use of your 2 coupons, you are forced to place two separate orders.

This is not what I was expecting. I was wondering if there's a fast way or a good plugin to modify this behaviour.

Thanks.

I would suggest to look at the extensions site in order to find your expectations.

I did but there a ton and I have not found one which clearly states what I'm looking for. I was hoping someone using such an extension could make a suggestion.

In the Business world, when going at the store to buy multiple identical products, merchants may inform the customer that only the first item of the same type may be discounted among the many. However, I do agree that an alternative way is also involved with: Buy the first one and get a second one for free. These extensions already exists, though. Although, buying two or more identical items and to get the 2 of the first ones discounted, I have never seen or heard anything like this in the past.

If no extensions of the sort can be found, I would suggest to post your request as a custom job in the Commercial Support section of the forum.
