I'm using Opencart 2.2 and the included Authorize.net (AIM) payment extension.

I noticed that this payment extension compared to the version that came with OpenCart 1.5.5 now also has a field in checkout for the customer's credit card CVV code, in addition to having a field for the credit card number.

I did a test transaction and left the CVV blank (even though it seems to be required) and my payment was still processed.

Now, is this an issue with Opencart where it does not really need the CVV, or is not really requiring it,
or is this an issue with my payment processor not requiring it?

Do most people, or is it recommended, to require customer's to input their CVV?

But, even if my payment processor required it, it seems Opencart did not care it was blank? I understand these might be two different issues, I will need to ask my payment process if they require it. In that case you would expect the payment to be rejected?

Well, I ended up finding an answer to this.

It seems you have to make sure that CVV is required in your Authorize.net settings.

After I updated my account, I tested out checkout in Opencart again. This time when I left CVV input area blank, and tried to submit payment, I got an error message: "Card Code is Required"

Hello,
Can you tell me where/what you changed? File and code to make required work.
I just upgraded to 2.3.x and noticed that I only have to input a credit card number for the transaction to go through. Even though the name, cc #, Exp date and CVV is required. They seem to be ignored. I am using Authorize AIM.
